COACHING FOR JUNIORS
Bouldering is an excellent activity for young people; it's fun, sociable and develops skills such as balance and co-ordination, as well as problem solving. If your child is completely new to climbing, then starting off with an induction together is the best option.
NIBAS
We deliver a number of coached sessions for young climbers, using NICAS (The National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme)
Small groups of no more than 6 children per instructor
€100 for 6 weeks, including climbing shoe hire and NICAS logbook & certificate
Progressive sessions, with goals and certificates to track achievements.
Our NIBAS classes are ideal for children who have completed an induction, tried climbing elsewhere or climbed in Gravity under adult supervision. Booking is essential and children must be aged 8 yrs or older.
Saturdays 10.30am -12.00pm
Sundays 10.30am -12.00pm
Thursdays from 4.30-5.45pm
Tuesdays from 4.30- 5.45pm

Teens Drop-in class
(please book in advance!)
On Fridays at 6.00pm we have an informal coaching session for climbers aged 13-17yrs. It’s ideal for you climbers who want to improve their skills and climb in a relaxed session with others of a similar age. Contact us for more details or book here This class is free if you are a monthly/ annual member of Gravity. Otherwise it is €18, incl. entry & shoe hire if required.
JUNIOR INDUCTIONS AND OVER 14’S COACHING
If you are aged between 14 and 18 you might like to come along to a 'junior induction session'. Your instructor will go through everything you need to know to use the centre safely and give you some good basic climbing technique. On completion of an induction it may be possible to register to use the centre unsupervised. You need to be accompanied by a parent/ guardian for this session. WINDERS CLUB
On Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm, we have a free coaching session for Winders’ Climbing Club. Winders' Club provides an opportunity for young climbers to prepare for competitions, improve their technique, learn about training for climbing and have lots of fun.
